Shirley Diane Chambers was born on Thursday, July 25, 1935 in Centralia, Kansas, the daughter of Darwin and Alberta (Simmons) Elder. She passed this life on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Village Health Care in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was 88 years, 7 months and 27 days of age.
The former Miss Shirley Elder was a 1953 graduate of Yates Center, Kansas high school. She attended Rhema Bible Training College and was an ordained minister through Rhema. Shirley married the love of her life, Marvin Ray Chambers on June 28, 1953 in Yates Center, Kansas. Shirley and Marvin followed their desire to go to Rhema Bible Training College, to become ministers. They traveled and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Early in their marriage, Shirley was the wife of a farmer, cooking, sewing and taking care of their children and all the farm hands. Shirley loved to travel, sew and watch western movies, but her greatest love was taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. Shirley
was a member of Rhema Bible Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Darwin and Alberta; husband, Marvin Ray; Sister, Darlene Sciolaro.
