Shirley Lee Colquitt, 89, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at her daughter's home in Griffin, surrounded by family.
Shirley, born on May 20, 1936, in Atlanta, Georgia was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Smith Lee; and mother and stepfather, Sarah Eunice Locke Burnette (Ken); and husband, David Colquitt.
Shirley, affectionately called Grandmother, took great joy in spending time with her family, lovingly caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She held fond memories of her days in Florida with her mother and stepfather. She also enjoyed reading and spending time at the beach.
Survivors include her daughters and their spouses, Kim Kitchens Evans (Al), Jan Colquitt Scruggs (Bradley), and Kami Colquitt Lindberg (Nate); son-in-law, Mark Kitchens; grandchildren, Lisa Kitchens Anglea (Ben), Zachary Benjamin Lane, Ellis Hunter Lane (Sarah), Justin David Lane, and Connor James Lindberg; great-grandchildren, Adler Grant Anglea and Harper Kate Anglea; and several nephews and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A family graveside service will follow with Pastor Andy Johnston officiating at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of Thomaston Children's Ministry.
