Shirley Crabtree

Shirley Faye Artrip Crabtree, age 88, of the Hansonville section of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at her daughter's home with her family by her side.
Born on January 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Elizabeth Artrip.
She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Willis Gene Crabtree; son, Earl Gene Crabtree; granddaughter, Dana Gayle Yates; siblings, Peggy Hess and husband Gene; J.C. Artrip and wife Mary and Joe Artrip.
Survivors include her daughters, Regina Scyphers and husband Billy and Cathy Tiller and husband Jamie; grandchildren, B.J. Scyphers and wife Whitney, Matthew Scyphers and wife Cathy, Jason Yates and wife Kimberly, Jennifer Ferguson and husband Aaron, Lindsay Steele and husband Eric, Andy Crabtree and wife Stacy, Joey Crabtree and wife Katie, and Wesley Crabtree; step grandchildren, Christy Boyd and husband Scottie, Trish Honaker and husband Chad, and Susan McGhee and husband Andrew; sister, Judy McGuire and husband Eddie, 22 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Mike McGlothlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Crabtree Family Cemetery in Hansonville.
Pallbearers will be Jason Yates, B.J. Scyphers, Matthew Scyphers, Andy Crabtree, Joey Crabtree, Wesley Crabtree, Brycen Scyphers, and Bo Crabtree.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
