Windsor, NY – Shirley Crowley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Windsor, NY.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Robert "Red" Crowley; her son, Thomas Crowley; grandson, Christian Crowley and her siblings, Thomas Robson, Dorothy "Dot" Lewis, Miriam Tricarichi, and Jean Clay. Though her heart endured the loss of those she loved, she carried their memory with grace and strength.
She is survived by her loving sons, Robert Crowley Jr., Timothy (Nike) Crowley, and James (Monti) Crowley. Shirley took immense pride in her grandchildren- Danielle, Shawn, Jeremy, Noel, Jake, Tash, Joey, and Jocelyn-cherishing each of them deeply. Her love extended beyond immediate family to her many nieces, great-grandchildren, and all of her dear friends. Shirley dedicated many years of her life working at Windsor Medical Center, where she cared for others with kindness and compassion before retiring. She had a warm and generous spirit, always placing family at the center of her life. Shirley was a proud and loyal friend who carried numerous friendships for decades. She cherished gathering with those she cared about, whether it was over a cup of tea or coffee, or playing cards with her lifelong friends. She found special comfort in the sight of cardinals, believing they were signs from loved ones watching over her. Now, her family will find solace in every flash of red, knowing her love remains with them always.
The family will receive friends at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton on Thursday March 6th from 4-6. Burial will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in her memory.
May she rest in peace, embraced by the love of those she has joined once more.
