Shirley Dargan

Shirley Dargan passed away peacefully in Lansing, Michigan on November 8, 2025. She was born on August 19, 1931 in Sheridan, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dargan Sr., daughter Debbie Dargan & grandson Steven Daniels. She is survived by daughters Brenda (Jim) Clark of Okemos, Vickie (Steve) Wesley of Holt, and son Tom (Sherry) Dargan of Ormond Beach, Florida. She adored her six granddaughters, Angi (Bryan) Hamilton, Kristin Bredin, Heather Daniels, Kylene (Ryan) Volz, Tracy Parrott (Brian Woodhurst), and Candice (Adam) Carrasco, as well as her great grandchildren Morgan and Gavin Hamilton, Izaac Smith, Chase and Natalie Parrott, Jake, Jordan and Hayden Volz and Addison and Ella Carrasco.
Shirley retired from the State of Michigan. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo & other games. As we honor her memory, we are reminded to live kindly, and to cherish our connections with one another.
The family wishes to acknowledge the exceptional, patient and heartfelt care that Shirley received from the UMH-Sparrow Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Palmer Bush & Jenson Family Funeral Homes, Holt Chapel. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
