Shirley “Dorie” E. Bauer

Shirley (Dorie) Bauer, age 79 of Hartland, WI, passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, August 12, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Shirley (Dorie) was born August 5, 1946 in the town of Merton to Irene and Walter Bull. She was united in marriage April 2, 1983 to Robert Bauer until the time of his death in 1996.

Dorie is survived by her sister Doris Tetzlaff (Carl Boettcher), sister-in-law Shirley Bull, and her cherished nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Very special appreciation for all the caring and love provided by Rick and Sue Bull. Also for the special friendship of Shirley Palen.

Dorie was a very sweet and caring person who loved all she met and was loved by all. Dorie worked as a nursing assistant at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and later a Product Miniature Company. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hartland, WI.

Dorie was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Ruth Rego and Florence Elsinger, and her brothers, Ernie and Raymond (Dick) Bull.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shirley's (Dorie) name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the doctors and nurses that cared for our sweet Dorie over the years.

Funeral services for Dorie are on Tuesday, August 19 at Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI, 53027). Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 11:00 – 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 12:00 pm.
