Shirley A. Drake

Shirley A. Drake, born on April 15, 1938, in Moundsville, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, in Canton, Ohio. She is lovingly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Shirley's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the love of her family and her dedication to others. For many years, she cleaned houses, bringing care and warmth to every home she touched. Always with a smile, she approached life's challenges with a spirit that inspired those around her. Shirley cherished her family above all, and her love for her daughters, Patricia Jett and Brenda Borden, was unwavering.
She navigated through life with grace after the passing of her beloved husband, Jack, in 2002. Shirley found joy in the little moments-family gatherings, laughter shared around the dinner table, and the simple pleasure of being surrounded by her loved ones.
In addition to her husband Jack, she was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Edith Morgan, and sisters Rose, Reah, Bonnie, Tustin, Betty, and Irene. She is survived by daughters Patricia Jett (Dale) and Brenda Borden, granddaughters Brooke and Brandi, and great-granddaughter Kaitlyn.
Her funeral service will be held on October 23, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Reed Funeral Home CANTON chapel 705 Raff Road SW Canton, OH with Pastor Amy Downard officiating. Prior to the service, friends and family are welcome to gather for visitation from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, at the same location. Interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
