Shirley Frances Drube, age 97, of Broadview Heights, Ohio and formerly of Toledo, Ohio died on Tuesday January 9, 2024, after a long and full life. She was born on October 27, 1926 in Detroit, MI. to Edith (Edelstein) and Herman Rappoport. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Drube. She was a member of the Congregation B'Nai Israel.
She married Marvin Drube in 1955, and lived in Toledo, Ohio for most of her life. She worked at Toledo Hospital as a Dietary technician's assistant, was a bookkeeper, and later an office clerk at Toledo Municipal Court. Shirley was famous for her annual back-dive at the Lincolnshire swimming pool. She loved to travel, to read and especially to sing. She will be remembered dearly by many family members and friends alike.
Dear Mother of Cynthia (Bernard) Bujakowski, Philip (Kaela Willey) Drube and Janice (Barry) Broutman. Loving grandmother of Douglas (Chrissy Culek) Bujakowski, Jessica (JonHornyak) Bujakowski, and Lucas Drube. Loving great-grandmother of Hudson Bujakowski.
Services and interment will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, OH.
