Our beloved Theron "Terry" Brown passed away on August 25, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 1st, 1944 to Geraldine and Theron Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Dennis (Kathy) Brown. He is survived by his wife Carol of 57 years, and his children Terry Jr. and Andrea Weaver (Will) and 3 granddaughters Nicole (Jacob) Scally, Kayte Kinsey, and Ava Kinsey and sister Sheila Towns and many nieces and nephews. Terry was a man of kindness, wisdom, and patience. He was always looking to serve others, and he was a role model to so many, with his tender heart and generosity. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Terry met his future wife as a sophomore in high school and continued to date until he graduated from Xavier University. Terry was brought up in west Toledo with varied interests which included a long and successful career as a teacher in Bedford Township. His knowledge, excitement, and creativity when teaching history, made him remembered as a favorite teacher by many. He was also a very successful realtor in Ohio and Michigan, of which he received many awards and recognition for his leadership and success. He started out selling homes to teachers and he expanded his business to include family and friends. He was elected president of Sophomore and Senior class at St. Francis de Sales, and he headed reunions every ten years. Throughout the years, He facilitated lunch gatherings for the class of 1962. In 1991 Terry was elected to the SFS Football Hall of fame. He chose to attend Xavier University after receiving various offers from other colleges to play football. He earned a bachelor's and master's Degree from Xavier, along with a specialist degree from the University of Toledo. As a devout catholic, he ushered at Christ the King Catholic church for forty years. Terry was a father figure to his grandchildren, and he was a constant in their life throughout their schooling and sports, in which he and Carol were a staple at sporting events. He loved them deeply and he was continually surrounded by his children and grandchildren throughout his illness. Terry was an avid sports fan following Notre Dame, Ohio State, and the Green Bay Packers, as well as Xavier Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. Terry will be remembered forever and always, and he will be in our hearts forever. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Tuesday, September 2 from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church. Graveside services will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to St. Francis de Sales High School.
