Shirley Mae Lambert Estes, born on November 17, 1939, in Iuka, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Shirley was of the Baptist faith and lived most of her life in Iuka. She was a caretaker of many in her lifetime. She loved nature and spent a lot of time on her porch swing where she gave a lot of advice to her family. She loved her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Denise Thomas Meeks; her granddaughter, Bethany Degraw; her parents, Leonard Lambert and Mary Aday Lambert; her brother, Carl Lambert; and her sisters, Louise Lambert Oliver, Elizabeth "Libby" Lambert Hamm, and Lois Lambert Degraw. She is survived by her children, Leonard Allen Degraw (Nelda), Sandra Lynn Thomas Davis, and Michael Lee Thomas (Sarah); her grandchildren, Corey Degraw, Adam Degraw (Chesney), Ashley Pruitt, Matthew Davis (Brittany), Tyler Thomas (Ingrid), Mason Thomas (Brittany), and Phillip Meeks; her great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Peggy Moore, Ralph Lambert, Jerry Lambert, and Danny Lambert (Debbie).
Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Frankie Smith. Pallbearers include Corey Degraw, Adam Degraw, Tyler Thomas, Mason Thomas, Matthew Davis, and Phillip Meeks. Interment will be in Eastport Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Shirley's honor to the charity of donor's choice. An online guestbook may be accessed at www.cutshallfuneralhome.com.
