Shirley Kelly Ford, 72, of Inman, South Carolina, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born on September 25, 1953, in Union, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late John E. Kelly and Charlie Mae Knox Kelly, and the loving wife of the late Robert E. Ford, Jr.

Shirley was a graduate of Jonesville High School, Class of 1971, and spent her career serving with the Spartanburg County Register of Deeds. She was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg.

Shirley enjoyed watching the birds in her yard, reading, and working crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed traveling with her late husband to see the lighthouses in New England, and Michigan. She liked listening to music and Conway Twitty, and Elvis Presley were two of her favorites. She was happiest surrounded by her children and grandchildren, whom she adored and loved cooking for her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Christi Kirven (Yancy); son, Robert "Robby" Edward Ford, III (Michelle); sister, Mary Kelly Mullinax; brother, Eddie Kelly (Betty); grandchildren, Trace Brown (Amy), Autumn Ford, Natalie Ford, Hope Kirven, Peyton Ford, and Michael Ford; and her great-grandson, Remy Brown. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Peggy Osment, and her brother-in-law, Jimmy Mullinax.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in The Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Dr. Mike Hamlet. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Huggins, Josh Ford, Trace Brown, Yancy Kirven, David Sistare, and Wayne Mullinax.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Foundation, Attn: Hospice House, 1692 Skylyn Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
