SHIRLEY M. FURY
1938 - 2025 Shirley Mae "Scoopie" Fury (née Berger), age 87, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, in Warren, Michigan surrounded by her loving family. Born April 19, 1938, to Floyd and Florence Berger (nee: Kleibek) in Detroit, Michigan. Shirley's life was a testament to enduring love and unwavering dedication to family. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Fury. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and care, raising five children who brought them immense joy and pride: Kathleen (David) Aalbertsberg; Michael Fury; Karen (Roger) Donovan; Kristin Fury; and Mark (Liz) Fury. Her role as a loving mother extended into her later years as she embraced the joys of being a grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 5. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Florence Berger, as well as her sister Donna (née Berger) Fuhrman. A funeral mass to honor Shirley's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic Community, located at 40501 Hayes Road in Sterling Heights, Michigan. A viewing will begin at 9:00 AM followed by mass at 9:30 AM. Following her funeral mass, Shirley will be taken to Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Obituary written by her family.
