North Clarendon- Shirley Mae Golfin, 96, of North Clarendon, died on Sunday October 19, 2025, surrounded by family at her residence.
She was born in Buffalo, NY on September 19, 1929, the daughter of Ernest and Farise (Ingalls) Spafford.
She graduated from Wallingford High School.
Shirley worked for several years at the First National store in Rutland and sold Avon for many years as well.
She enjoyed Lawn sales, making floral arrangements, spending time at her pool, camping, watching birds, her cat Katie, and most of all family gatherings.
She is survived by her children Kathy Turner of Clarendon Springs, Gary Golfin (Tammy) of Castleton, and Colleen Elnicki (Michael) of Pittsford, her grandchildren Richard Elnicki(Nicole), Jill Merrill(Mike), Leanne Haas(Fred), Kayla Turner(Steph), Daniel Golfin (Missy) and Melissa Golfin, great grandchildren Eli and Zoe Merrill, and Troy and Brandon Golfin, and a brother Perley Spafford(Joyce).
She was predeceased by her husband Edward Golfin Sr, a son Edward Golfin Jr, and son in law Joe Turner.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care given by VNA Hospice, Seniors Helping Seniors, Bayada, and Private Care at Home.
