Shirley Mae Gullie ( nee Woodell ) Passed away on Thursday March 14th, 2024
She was a long standing member of Longview Baptist Church in Raleigh and
attended as long as her health allowed. Her church family meant a great deal
to her and through that she made several long time friends. Shirley had a long
successful career with Nationwide Insurance in Underwriting. She retired
several years ago, after 35 years of service.
She is survived by her youngest son, Tom Gullie of Franklinton, NC; a devoted
daughter in-law, Sandra Gullie of Zebulon, NC; Grandson Brian Gulle ( Sarah )
and Great-grandson Bryce Gullie of Fuquay Varina, NC. Grandson Andrew
Gullie ( Amanda ) a Great-granddaughter Julianna Gullie & Great-grandson
Judson Gullie of Raleigh, NC.
She is pre-deceased by her eldest son Louis Dale Gullie, her Granddaughter
Grayson Nicole Gullie, her parents Murph & Louise Woodell of Apex, NC and
her brother Bryant & Sister Francis.
Graveside burial ceremony will be 1:00 pm Monday, March 25, 2024 at
Montlawn Cemetery in Raleigh. In lieu of flowers please make a donation, in
Shirley's name, to a favorite charity or to any University medical center in their
Anorexia-Bulimia department.
