Shirley A. Hillegass, 85, of Alum Bank, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at her residence. She was born on December 17, 1939 in Fishertown, a daughter of the late Paul E. and Ethel (Diehl) Feaster. On June 14, 1958 in Chambersburg, she married Donald L. Hillegass who preceded her in death on March 6, 2024. She is survived by the following family, three daughters: Sherry Crawford and husband Greg of Imler; Gwyn Eicher and husband Blaine of Queen; Lynne Claar and husband Mark of Claysburg; and one son, James V. Hillegass and wife Sonya of Bedford; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra Price widow of David of Fishertown; Cheryl Heming and husband Roger also of Fishertown; three brothers, Boyd Feaster and wife Sandra of Sterling, VA; Paul E. Feaster widower of Connie of Bunker Hill, WV, and Delmas Feaster and wife Linda of Conway, SC. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Feaster and Randy Feaster widow Debbie who survives of Manns Choice.
Shirley enjoyed many things in life but making crafts, sewing, and decorating cakes were some of her favorites.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Dustin Feaster officiating. Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Monday from 10 -11 a.m. at the funeral home. Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
