Shirley L. Hostetler,87, of Sugarcreek, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at her home following a period of declining health.
She was born in Dover on September 19, 1937 to the late William and Lydia (Davis) Korns and married Arlen Hostetler on October 8, 1955. He died on July 11, 2021.
Shirley and Arlen were the owners and operators of the former Sugarcreek Interiors in Sugarcreek until their retirement. She was a member of the Sugarcreek United Methodist.She served on the church food committee for funeral lunches and luncheon fundraisers during Swiss Festival.
She is survived by her children, Cathy (Rich) Harstine of Winfield, Bret (Wendy) Hostetler and Jo Mathias both of Sugarcreek; grandboys, Andy (Lisa) Hostetler of Dover, Lucas (Jeanette) Hostetler of Massillon, Bo (Katherine) Harstine of Hillard, Caleb (Natalie) Hostetler of Delaware, Tyler (Brenna) Harstine of Winfield, Colton (Rossana) Harstine of Winfield, and Noah (Jasmine) Mathias of Waynesburg; and grandbabies, Rylan, Kenny, and Ruby Hostetler, Nolan Hostetler, Gia Harstine and Alessia Harstine.
In addition to parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her 8 siblings.
Private family graveside services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 1 PM at Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek with Rev. Randy Lewis officiating.
