Shirley Janacek Obituary
Born on September 16, 1946, in Virginia, MN, Shirley grew up in Eveleth, Minnesota, and was a proud Iron Ranger. She graduated from the University of Iowa, earning a nursing degree. She enjoyed her drives in the country, finding peace and joy in the beauty of nature and the open road. Shirley also had a deep love for music and often found happiness in listening to her favorite songs. Additionally, she looked forward to watching the high school hockey tournaments each year, a tradition that brought her much joy.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Janacek (Steven Bertram); and her siblings, Peggy Sloan, Andrew Korpela, and Dorothy Korpela.
A private celebration of Shirley's life will be held at a later time. In place of flowers, memorials of the donor's choice are preferred.

I knew Shirley from Jr high school in Eveleth. We soon became friends. Her parents were very involved in their children and we were invited to many hayrides at their country home. It is with great sadness to hear of her passing.
