Shirley Joan Kilgore, 87 a longtime resident of Lewistown, currently of West Liberty passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Logan Acres Senior Community Care Center.
Shirley was born October 7, 1935 in Russells Point to the late Paul R. and Ida Louise (Hessberger) Burden.
Shirley enjoyed gardening and watching movies. She also enjoyed crocheting and making blankets for her family for various occasions. Shirley loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was an avid Ohio State Football fan and she also enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds. Shirley will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Rob (Jennifer) Kilgore of DeGraff and Jenny (David) Richardson of West Liberty; grandchildren, Jordan Hayes, Alexis Richardson, Hannah Kilgore, Joshua Kilgore, Shane McDowell, Abby McDowell, Megan Richardson and Garrett Richardson; sisters, Carol Collins and Marilyn (Mike) Smith; brother, Jerry Burden; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cassi McDowell; sister, Patricia McGowan.
A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Monroe Community Church, 6458 County Road 29, West Liberty, OH 43357. Her son, Pastor Rob Kilgore will officiate the services. Gathering of family and friends will take place after the service at the church.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Logan Acres Senior Community Foundation-Activities Fund, 2739 Co Rd 91, Bellefontaine, OH 43311.
