I will always remember her beautiful smile and that wonderful laugh that was always on her lips. We lived by Shirley and Ritchie until my parents passed away. As a teenager we would spend time with Shirley. She always had a meal ready as if she had prepared just for you. Her and Ritchie were fabulous cooks. I recently moved back after living in Florida for 20 years we wondered if Shirley was still with us. Lakewood will never be the same without her, may she rest in peace as she joins all her friends and neighbors that have gone before her. Tracy and Ritchie were there to welcome you home. I´m sure my mom has been waiting also. My sincerest sympathies to Jodie, Dana and Lonnie and the rest of her family

To my best friend and a wonderful neighbor, she was friend, sister and mother all wrapped in one. She was always there in good times and bad. You will be sorely missed by me and my family. Love Judy Northup and family

I lived next to Shirley for several years on Holmes Road. We were car pooling our kids to Kindergarten. She loved her babies. She and Richie were great cooks. I last saw Shirley at Market Basket where we were both driving the special cars because we couldn't walk very well. She will be missed at the Pilgrim senior center where she played cards. I played Canasta with her, even though she usually beat me with her hidden Canastas. So sad to see her go.

Hope's Light Mission worked with Miss Shirley within the past year, helping her with repairs in her home. We will always remember her big personality, smile, and kindness. She was one of a kind. We know she is now in her true home. -Bob Nelson & Karen Wimmer
