Shirley Knue Obituary

After raising her three children, Shirley went on to earn her bachelor's degree from NKU and devoted her professional life to teaching kindergarten and first graders in the Lakota Schools. Her passion for education was evident not only in her career but also in her personal life. She took immense pride in the education and accomplishments of her children, which she considered among her greatest joys.
She was also a breast cancer survivor. Her legacy lives on through her loving family: her daughter Kathy Przywara (Chris), sons Mark Knue (Ellen) and Doug Knue (Rhonda); grandchildren Steve Przywara (Cailan Remedios), Jack Przywara (Lauren Storbrauck), Zach Knue, Carly Knue, Ari Hanson (Mike), Chloe Knue, Grant Knue, and Tanner Knue; and great-grandchildren Sean Przywara, Conor Przywara, Elisabeth Przywara, and Cameron Hanson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Reach Out Lakota and Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
A visitation will be held at Gilligan Funeral Homes, 8225 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236 on July 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. There will be a prayer service immediately after followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249.

Doug and Rhonda,
We are very sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. We always enjoyed seeing her at Good Shepherd and the kids sporting events. She always had a smile on her face. Praying for all of you as you mourn her loss.
