Shirley Kathleen Kulesa

Shirley Kathleen Kulesa, aged 85, beloved wife and cherished family matriarch, peacefully passed away on February 18, 2025, in her hometown of Canton, Ohio. Born on September 30, 1939, she lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family.
Shirley was a dedicated housewife whose warm heart and nurturing spirit created a welcoming home for her loved ones. Her cooking, especially during the holidays, was a treasured tradition, bringing family together to share joyful meals and create lasting memories. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, always eager to share stories, laughter, and life lessons with the younger generation. Shirley took great pride in maintaining a clean, peaceful home, where everyone felt cherished and cared for.
An active member of the Polish Club for 50 years, Shirley developed lasting friendships, relishing the camaraderie and fun that filled those moments. In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed playing slot machines.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Etola Johns; granddaughter, Teresa Rodriguez; and brother, James Johns.
Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Milan "Sonny" Kulesa; children, Ronnie Rodriguez, Sharon (Paul) Lehberger, Michael Kulesa, Stanley (Tracy) Kulesa, Pamela (Russell) Johns Goetting, Tammy (Ted) Johns Varberg; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Judy Swilly; and many dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on February 26, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Prior to the service, calling hours will be observed from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
