Shirley Little Obituary

She was born May 28, 1927 in Hollywood, California. She married the love of her life, Champ Little, in California on June 17, 1946. Shan earned her teaching credential from the UCLA and went on to teach middle school math. She enjoyed horses and horsemanship, volunteering in the community, and painting. Her final years were spent peacefully in Eureka with her daughter and son-in-law Nan and Dale Orth.
Shan is preceded in death by her husband Champ "C" Little and exchange daughter Gulen Bicaki of Istanbul, Turkey.
She is survived by her children Scott (Beth) Little of Las Vegas, Nevada; Kathleen (Randall) Selander of Columbia, California; Nan "Buffy" (Dale) Orth of Eureka; Tetsuo (Reiko) Yuasa of Fukushima, Japan; Setsuko (Toshi) Ohnuma of Yokohama, Japan; and, Mehmet (Jackie) Bicakci of Santa Ana, California. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Dr. Kym (Juan) Codallos of Laramie, Wyoming; Kris Miller of Groveland, California; Joshua (Gretchen) Little of Las Vegas, Nevada; and, David Little of Stevensville, Montana. She leaves behind twelve great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
A family memorial service will be held in Sonora, California.
Remembrances can be made in the form of donation to the Eureka Garden Club, P.O. Box 535, Eureka, SD 57437.
Services are in care of Lien-Straub-Carlsen Chapel, Eureka.
