Shirley Louck Obituary
Shirley was born in Algona, Iowa, on February 20, 1928, the daughter of Fredrick and Lulabelle (Alderson) Hamilton. In 1945, she married Lewis Louck who preceded her in death.
Shirley was a dedicated and hardworking woman, spending more than 20 years as an employee of the B.F. Goodrich Company before retiring. Outside of work, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending the day out shopping, relished a good meal, and rarely missed an Old Western on television-especially those featuring her beloved cowboys. Above all, Shirley's greatest happiness came from her family. She lived to adore, support, and lovingly spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Drema) Louck and Janis (Tom) Spangler; grandchildren Annick (Gabe) Davis, Tori (Zak) Abel, Scott (Deb) Louck, Jeff Louck, Kevin (Lori) Queen, Brian Queen, and Kellie Queen; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, and nine brothers and sisters.
Family and friends may call on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 East Center Street, Marion, from 10:00–11:00 AM, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
