Shirley L. Moore, age 79, of Westerville, passed away peacefully April 24, 2025 at Kobacker House surrounded by her family. She was retired from Worthington Industries after 28 years of service and a graduate of Mifflin High School, class of 1964. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, especially mowing her lawn.
Survived by her daughters, Lori (Charles) Hensel of Grove City and Leanne Moore of Westerville; granddaughters, Emily Moore of Grove City and Madyson McFann of Westerville; and her granddog, Logan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Moore, Jr., parents, Barnet and Mildred (Allison) Thompson., sisters, Donna, Carolyn and Kay.
Friends may call at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Friday, May 2nd from 3-6 p.m. followed by a service at 6 p.m., William Melsop, Minister. Private interment Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kobacker House, 3430 Ohiohealth Pkwy, Columbus, OH 43202-9928.

Shirley was such an important part of my childhood. She and I were close friends from 1st grade at East Linden Elementary all through high school. I have so many good memories of those days. We spent countless hours at each other´s homes. She will be missed so much.
