Shirley "Mimi" Sue Mullins, age 86, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Born on October 22, 1938, in Murphy, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Farmer) and Joseph Golden.
She enjoyed working as a school cafeteria worker, cake decorator and later became a custodian employed at Sycamore Hospital.
Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was especially good at spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an excellent baker an cake decorator. Her grands received some unforgettable cakes over the years made with love.
Left to cherish her memory is her children, Sonia (Greg), Sheila, Earl Jr. and Joe; grandchildren, Angel, Jennifer (Thip), Dustin (Miranda), Bubba, Caleb (Victoria), Olivia (Joey) and Helena; great-grandchildren, Camryn, Tanner, Renner, Kaidyn, Aurora, Jameson, Lyle and sister-in-law, Joan Golden; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Mullins Sr.; son-in-laws, Dale and Jack; sisters, Edna, Ethel, Myrtle, Lou, Ruth, Fay and brothers, Clyde, Earl, James, Junior, France and Ray.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. A service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville. Pastor Joel Getts to officiate.
