Daughter of the late Charles E. Aitken and Lois J. Aitken, passed peacefully with her family by her side. Loving Mother of Robert Penwell, Douglas Penwell (Jen) and Brittany Penwell. Shirley adored her grandchildren and was Grammy to Connor and Abigail, Zoe and Hunter, and Ava and Cory. Beautiful sister to Cheryl (Sue) Michalowski (Edward), Thomas Aitken (Timmy) and Robert Aitken. Loving Aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers Michael DiCarlo, William DiCarlo, George Aitken, Marvin Aitken, and Steven Aitken. Also, a sister, Laura Marie Aitken.
Shirley was a retired Caseworker Supervisor for the PA Dept of Welfare and retired National City Bank Trust Officer.
Funeral arrangements are private. Memorial Contributions can be made to Family Hospice, Canterbury Place, Lawrenceville. familyhospicepa.org
