Shirley J. Poling (nee Weaver), age 50, of West Chester, PA, passed away on May 3, 2025.

Born in Bryn Mawr, PA in 1974, she was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Faith (nee Piersma) Weaver. Shirley was the beloved wife of Christopher Poling; loving mother of Samantha Pierce-Miller (Jeremy) and Andrew Pierce; dear sister of Stephen Weaver (Cyndi), Heather Medema (Michael), and Sadie Weaver. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Pierce; also survived by her nieces and nephews and one granddaughter on the way.

Known for her strength and resilience, Shirley battled cancer by making the most of each day including celebrating at Phillies games, dancing at her daughter's wedding, walking through the sandy beach with her sister, marrying the man of her dreams, tubing in the Poconos, caring for her pack of loyal dogs, and enjoying her coffee in the quiet moments.

Her love for her children, family, friends, and animals was fierce and palpable. Her smile warmed up any room and her dance moves were unbeatable. There was no challenge too big or too small that she couldn’t take on. Her memory is cherished through all those she encountered and she was so excited to see her legacy live on through the birth of her upcoming granddaughter.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 12:00-1:00 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Calvary Chapel Chester Springs, 217 Dowlin Forge Road, Exton, PA 19341, followed by her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Community Volunteers in Medicine, https://cvim.org/, 300 B Lawrence Drive, West Chester, PA 19380, would be appreciated.
