Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory - ElizabethtownShirley A. Powell, 90, of Masonic Village Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22th, 2025. She was the devoted wife of Allen W. Powell, also of Masonic Village.
Born in Lebanon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick R. and Rachael B. (Miller) Boyer. Shirley was a faithful member of the Congregational Bible Church in Marietta and remained dedicated to her faith throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Allen; two daughters, Cynthia A. Herr married to Timothy Herr of Mount Joy, and Debra K. Morris of Palmyra; and a son, Brian A. Powell married to Carrie Powell of NY. Shirley was also blessed with eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Boyer, Faye Heisey, and Geraldine Daubert.
For more than 30 years, Shirley worked at the Reese's candy factory. She found joy in simple pleasures-playing games, working on puzzles, and spending meaningful time with her family, who were the center of her life.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11AM at the Community Bible Church, 331 Anderson Ferry Rd, Marietta, PA 17547. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10AM until the time of service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
