Shirley was a bookkeeper for Stewart, Harrison and White Commission Company National City Stockyards. She was a member of First Christian Church in Belleville, IL, sang in the choir and a former member of the " Crafty Ladies" of the church. Taught vacation bible school and helped with the babies in the nursery.

Visitation: Visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 am, Monday, January 15, 2024 at First Christian Church, 5929 Old St. Louis Road, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 15, 2024 at First Christian Church in Belleville, with Rev. Doug Hargrave officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
