Shirley Rains Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Rains, who departed this life peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and Mema, whose warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, quiet strength, and the joy she brought to those around her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, James Rains, and their three daughters: Sandra Hill, Theresa Ferrell, and Donna Jackson. She was a proud Mema to seven grandchildren: Eric Ferrell, Thomas Hill, Whitney Johnson, Jennifer Feathers, Sarah Bryan, Tiffany Jackson, and Tyler Jackson, and a cherished great-grandmother to thirteen great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her son, James Rains.
Her family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Shirley’s legacy of love, compassion, and grace will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
A private service will be held to honor her life and memory.
She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
