Funeral services for Shirley Ann Richie, 85, will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tommy Allen.
Shirley was born on July 16, 1938 in Detroit, Texas to William M. Richie and Ruby G. Richie and passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023 in Jefferson, Texas.
Shirley graduated from Byrd High School in Shreveport. She worshipped at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Shreveport where she loved attending church. She loved Jesus, people, her family, and her puppy, Precious.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Bobby D. Richie, and Douglas W. Richie. Left to cherish her memory is her nephew, William D. Richie and wife, Dina; niece, Bobbette Singletary, and numerous other great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members and friends.
Honoring Shirley as pallbearers will be Brody Leonhardt, Billy Richie, Jason Galyean, and Mike Dice.
