Shirley G. Rountree

Shirley G. Rountree of Middleville, died peacefully at home on August 27, 2025 with her family at her side. Shirley was born on July 26, 1929 the daughter of Arthur and DeEtte Baker in Battle Creek. They moved to Middleville soon after and never left. She took pride in her garden and had one every year. She was an excellent cook and baker. Shirley worked in various factories, retiring from Flexfab in 2002 at the age of 73. Shirley and her husband, Ken enjoyed going to Florida and Texas every winter for many years. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Rountree. Also, her seven children, Linda Willyard, Marianne (Larry) Henley, Susan (Angel) Ferrer, Thomas (Debbie) Beard, Catherine (Chuck) Purdam, Robert Beard, and Pamela (Larry) Dahlke, 20 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Shirley's family will receive friends on Friday, September 5, 2025, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Beeler-Gores Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, hug your mother and family.
