With an eye for detail that could only be described as that of a perfectionist, Richard possessed a strong work ethic that was an inspiring sight to behold. He poured that same level of precision and passion into his personal pursuits, particularly in the art of refinishing antique furniture.
Richard was an enthusiast of life's simpler pleasures. The rhythmic beats of rock 'n' roll music could often sweep him onto the dance floor, where his spirit and joy became infectious to all around. In quieter moments, Richard enjoyed wood cutting and collecting cookie jars, amassing an impressive collection of over 185 jars.
An accomplished cook, Richard found solace and expression in the culinary arts. Friends and family alike would gather around his table, eager to savor the dishes he lovingly prepared.
Richard is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tammy (Frost) Sirk, children, Kelly Lynn Llwellyn, Jeffery Alan (Kellie) Sirk, and Jason Robert Sirk, grandchildren, Skylar Sirk and Cooper Sirk, and niece, Karin Rentch. Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
Richard's family will receive friends on Friday, August 8, 2025, 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Beeler-Gores Funeral Home where his memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions to Corewell Hospice will be appreciated. Please visit www.beelergoresfuneral.com to share a memory or to leave a condolence message for Richard's family.
