Shirley R. Schieve

Shirley Schieve, 87, Minot, ND, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at Trinity Hospital.
Shirley Rae Erb was born May 17, 1937, the daughter of Clayton and Laura (Peterson) Erb, in Ryder, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Ryder. She was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Minot.
She married Ervin Schieve on August 26, 1953, in Minot. They were blessed with five children. They made their home in Minot until moving to Surrey in 1967. They then moved back to Minot in 1993. Shirley worked for Kraft's Greenhouse. Ervin passed away in November 2002.
She was a former member of Augustana Lutheran Church, Minot and Hope Lutheran Church, Surrey.
Shirley enjoyed embroidering, crossword puzzles, working in the yard and tending to her flowers. She had a love for dancing, camping and always looked forward to getting together for the holidays with her family.
Her loving family includes: children, Dale (Sandy) Schieve, and Delane Schieve; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters; Olive Boots, Sheryl (Jeff) Tolson; sister-in-law, Betty Erb; brother-in-law, Marvin (Lavonna) Getzlaff; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, Ervin; son, Doug Schieve; infant son, Darcy Schieve; infant daughter Sheila Schieve; grandson, Eric; brothers, Gerald and V. Dale; sister, Joyce Fleck.
Funeral: Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: are preferred to Christ Lutheran Church or Katie's Kitchen at Christ Lutheran Church.
