A proud graduate of Rush Springs Public Schools, Shirley went on to lead a fulfilling career as a group leader at Delta Faucet. Her dedication and work ethic were matched only by her commitment to her colleagues and the numerous lives she influenced throughout her years of service.

Shirley's life was characterized by her love for her family, whom she cherished above all. She is survived by her loving daughter, Carol Taylor, and significant other, Roger Crow. Shirley's joy was multiplied through her grandchildren, Brendon Taylor, Brittany Kirby and spouse Cole Kirby, and Heather Shirley; and her great-grandchildren, Kynzleigh Taylor, Shyanne Weisinger, and Rex Weisinger. Her sister, Faye Smelley, and husband, Dub, along with many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Truett Shirley; her sons, Scott Taylor, Max Taylor, Rex Shirley, and Richie Shirley; her siblings, Betty Jo Hoard, Corine Scruggs, and Robert Beckman; and her parents, John and Oleta (Gilbin) Beckman.

An avid lover of butterflies, Shirley's garden was a testament to her love for nature and her skill in nurturing growth, both in plants and in people. She found great pleasure in sewing and quilting, often creating beautiful keepsakes for her children and grandchildren, each stitch imbued with her love and care. A lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Shirley's enthusiasm for her team was infectious and a source of great joy.

Those who knew Shirley will remember her as a loving and friendly soul, always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word. Her creativity was evident not only in her quilts but in the way she approached life's challenges- with resilience and a smile.
