Mom's dress edged in black velvet curves ended in my dressing closet, but here's my parents dating 5 yrs. earlier at the Talisman Dance, 1953. Uncle Will from Michigan is on the mantle, in his Navy uniform. (Her curlers were little rubber triangles that folded over.) Darcy

On Taylor Ave. there's Music House, Perry Hall Academy and Hale's Seafood, turn right on Oakleigh and you'll find Daisy's sister Jane's house, married to George, with his daughter Darlene and her husband Jimmy. They drove with Major Terry 25 yrs. later, by Cloverland Dairy to see their oldest kids, Duane, Kelly and grandson Zane.

Harford Rd. is known mostly for the Arcade Theater, Dimestore, First Nat'l Bank and Miss Marie's Beauty Parlour, but this is a surprise vintage- Minna on the left, at graduation with her older sister, Bertha @ 1925. She lived across the street with her 2 boys, on Park Drive. Darcy

Don't have anymore vintage photos, but I found a younger picture of Eddie with his new girl, Minna. She's with me @ 20 years later, in Woodcroft, Ellis Avenue.
These people really paid attention to detail- ruffles, pearls, etc. Darcy

This is my pop-pop, Eddie in his back garden w/pipe. Crepe myrtle in the middle, grapevines on the right. I was only a year and 1/2 old in the wheelbarrow, we're on the left side of the yard with the walnut tree & lilies of the valley. Nana's dress is from 1960. (Live chickens are on the far right!)

On the right, Tara's lovely photo does not include the names of the 2 men, Dr.Talbot Smith (so grown up) and his son Roman, in high school. The year was 2023. Underneath is my mom's picture, in her red robe (living room) holding one of her cats, Blunder. She wrote her age on the back, 39, in 1977. Darcy

Wishing peace for all, especially my Aunt Shirl. Very glad I was able to visit her in June 2023. While we were very far from each other, she was a great support while my parents were declining. Hoping for good meals, animal kisses, and happy times in heaven.

Mom made international food every month in the Gourmet Club with her Springlake buddies, & she had a wide assortment of vitamins. She kept political scrapbooks of John F. Kennedy, and Cher! Also my pals at Camp Fire Girls had beautiful costumes sewn w/beads in different patterns...in Ocean City MD she collected seashells and coralwebs to make designs as gifts to friends. Darcy

My mother loved her music. She was a disc jockey at her school dances. Her favorite artists over time were Elvis Presley, The Platters, Roy Orbison and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Darcy
