Shirley, 87 years, passed away in Providence St Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington on July 26th, 2022. She was born on November 29, 1934, to Lionel and Irene Paquette in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She was one of eight children. She was proud of herself when she received her G.E.D. in 1974 from Olympia Vocational Technical Institute in Olympia, Washington. On December 6, 1986, Shirley married Russell DeForest Soll at The Women's Club in Olympia, Washington, and they lived happily together for 19 years, until his death in 2005.
Shirley worked for Washington Natural Gas Company from 1977 to 1994. She began her career as an Office Clerk and moved her way up through advancements to Installation Clerk. She moved to Sunset Air & Heating in Lacey, Washington in their Service Department, from December 1994 to June 1995.
Shirley loved the outdoors. She loved motorcycle riding with Russell, camping, and traveling. She especially loved spending time at their place on Hood Canal. Family and friends meant the world to Shirley and she loved spending time with them.
Shirley is survived by her children Marie Emery, Norma Heuser (Tom Thompson), Robin (Chris) Guiles, and Alex Malo; sister Beatrice Clarke; 8 grandchildren; 13+ great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded into Heaven by her husband Russell; her parents Lionel and Irene Paquette; sisters Evelyn Paquette and Marie Mata; and brothers Richard Paquette and James Paquette.
In lieu of flowers, family request you make memorial donations to your favorite charity in Shirley's name.
There will be a private, family Celebration of Life, followed by placement of her urn in Forest Cemetery.
