Shirley A. (Davison) Sproul, 83 of Hopwood passed away on Monday October 14, 2024 at home with her loving family by her side. Born August 26, 1941 in Shady Grove, PA, daughter of the late C. Wendell and Thelma (Ridley) Davison; Beloved wife of Darwin Sproul; in addition to her husband she is survived by her children Ross (Risa) Snowden of Gibsonia and Jeffrey (Deb) Snowden of Prescott Valley, AZ, her step-children Loretta (Billy) Spears of Mineola, TX and Lonny Sproul of Hopwood; her grandchildren; Ryan, Kelly, Greg, Shaun, Seth, Jarrett, Colton, Samantha, Noah, Hannah, Michael and Meghan; her 6 great-grandchildren and her sister Jenny Lee Zele. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Trooper Ross E. Snowden, her sister Lois Van Swearingen and her brothers Marlin and Gerald Davison. Shirley was a member of the Hopwood Free Methodist Church, she was a loving wife and grandmother and valued her relationships with her family and friends. Everyone knew her infectious laugh. Shirley enjoyed reading, scrabble, card games and crocheting. Visitation at Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8PM. Further Visitation on Friday from 10-11AM at the Hopwood Free Methodist Church, 114 Hopwood Coolspring Road, Hopwood PA where a service will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the Hopwood Free Methodist Church to support the food bank in her memory.
