Born in Gloucester, MA, she moved here in 1955 from Gloucester and worked as an Executive Assistant until retirement.
Shirley was passionate about gardening, plants, and wildlife. Having a kind and giving heart, she supported many charities.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Steven VanGilder, her son Robert Cameron McMinn (Misty) of Odessa, FL, her daughters Deborah Roski (Richard) of Parkland, FL, Dawn Ladd of Seminole, FL and Laura McMinn of MA, brother Robert Vern Cameron Jr. (Yarslava) of Prosperity, SC and her grandchildren Noelle Salerno, Emily Larson, Noah Larson, Michael McMinn and Sarah McMinn.
Shirley is pre-deceased by her parents Robert and Shirley Cameron, and her sister Charlotte.
A Celebration of Life will be announced later.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Suncoast Hospice.
