She was born April 3, 1937, in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Robert H and Anna (Offack) Semple.
Shirley was a homemaker and a lifetime bartender and many will remember her from the Massillon Moose and K of C. She enjoyed playing Bingo at St. Mary's and K of C.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church of Massillon.
Shirley is survived by daughters, Kimberly J. Wachtel, Jacqueline F. (Dave) Johnson, Teresa A. Wachtel; son, Richard R. Wachtel; brothers, Raymond R. Semple, Wayne M. (Peggy) Semple; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 43 years, Richard A. Wachtel; granddaughter, Kylie R. Wachtel; sister, Evelyn Semple; sister-in-law, Joyce Semple; and a few beloved pets.
As per Shirley's wishes, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary's, St. Vincent De Paul, 2809 Lincoln Way W., Massillon, Ohio 44647.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to her granddaughter, Darrian Wachtel, for all the special care she gave her Grandma.
