George E. Williams, 71, of Massillon, passed away on October 11, 2025 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
He was born on April 1, 1954 to Herman and Uarann (McGee) Williams in Humboldt, TN.
George retired from Canton Drop Forge. He was a very social person. He enjoyed playing softball, hunting and fishing. George was a jack of all trades, he enjoyed carpentry and fixing and repairing antique cars.
George is survived by his loving wife, Florence (Mitchell) Williams; son, George E. Williams, Jr.; granddaughter, My'kel Williams; mother Uarann Williams; step-son, Corey Mitchell; step- grandchild, Corey Mitchell Jr.; sisters, Mancha Anthony, Deborah Childs, Diane (Angel) Martin, Irene (Daniel) Ware, and Phyllis Bell; and many a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Leon Williams; son, Michael Williams; and siblings, Herman Williams and Victoria Williams.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, with a funeral service at 12:00 pm, Rev. Chaplain Willie Springer, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Aultman Hospice.
