Shirley was born on May 15, 1952, and passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband Allan Zenger, daughter Michelle Znamenacek (husband Ryan), cherished granddaughters Amanda Doss (husband Nathan), Michaela Bartels (boyfriend Cody), Kaylee Znamenacek (fiancé Dustin), cherished grandsons Lane Znamenacek (girlfriend Jasmine) and Jeffrey Znamenacek. She was also a very proud great-grandmother of 8 great-grandchildren which were her pride and joy, Briella, Emelio, Emmylou, Leo, Sammy, Emery, Brexlynn, and Maddox. She also leaves behind her 2 sisters, Sharon Schmidt and Carol Blas (Bill) and her mother-in-law Oleta Zenger and many brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and BernaDean Dorman, father-in-law John Zenger, niece Tami Sipek, brother-in-law Roger Schmidt, brother-in-law Gary and his wife Denise, and brother-in-law Mike, and her grandparents and great-grandparents.
Shirley was known for her strength and kindness and her un-waivered love for her family. Her presence in their lives will be deeply missed but will live on in their hearts forever. She touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and her legacy will inspire and live on in the ones that have had the pleasure of having known her. She enjoyed sitting outside on her swing watching the hummingbirds and butterflies; going out on rides with her husband on their utv; enjoyed camping, making memories with her family and going to the casino and scratch cards.
A private celebration will be held to celebrate her life and the many beautiful moments she shared with her family. www.gerdesmeyerfh.com
