Of all the time that has past
Only our memories are made to last.
We share the ups and downs with the ones we love
Before we take flight like a dove,
Alone as ones left think they be,
never knowing what we see.
I will always love you,
Lee
Shondell Cogbill was born in Fort Lee, New Jersey on September 22, 1971. She passed away at her home in Arthur City, Texas on February 19, 2025.
"All I know is something like a bird within her sang."
"All I know she sang a little while and then flew on."
Shondell was a lover of animals, the Grateful Dead, husband, Lee Cogbill and son, Keegen Cogbill. She was undefinable by human words. Music is much better at describing her. She was like a conversation of notes in a long jam session.
Shondell will be buried at DFW National Cemetery on Friday, March 7th at 2:00 PM. Friends and family will meet at the cemetery and assemble in Lane 1 on that day. Please bring your stories and memories to share.

I will miss you my little sister. Forces took you away from me but I tried to reach you at every turn. Unfortunately you were too afraid. I love you always and forever. To be clear as I knew you best. You were born in Trenton NJ NOT Fort Lee. We were raised there not born. Also your middle name is correctly spelled Abagayle. Rest in peace you are finally free!!
