Shorty “Donald Egbert” Allison, 79, of Cumming passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023. A native of Hall County, Shorty was a Freemason and was retired from Forsyth County Roads and Bridges. He loved tractors and farming and was a Baptist by faith. Shorty is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Melissa Mathis Allison.
Survivors include his son, Chris Allison and Jenny Eaton; a granddaughter, Shelby Allison; sisters, Mary Benefield and Betty Oliver; brother, Larry Allison and a special nephew, Stevie “Stubby” Allison.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 30, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 to 7:30 p.m.
