Mr. Shuntray Demond Poole

Mr. Shuntray Demond Poole entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in Nottoway, Virginia. He was the son of Harold Edward Thomas, Jr. and Janet Leigh Griffin.

Shuntray was educated in the Danville Public School system. He was employed at A1 Tires in South Boston, Virginia. He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends. Known for his love of poetry, he was able to free-style rap and sing, which he truly enjoyed and he loved to draw.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold Edward Thomas, Sr. and Ethel Lee Pannell Thomas; an uncle, Jerome Thomas; a nephew, Shaquille Keen; three cousins, James Poole, Jr., Dennis Poole, Jr., and Antwan Tucker, Jr.

Shuntray leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Harold Edward Poole, Jr. and Janet Griffin; a brother, Harold Edward Thomas, III; five sisters, Ashley Poole, Shaketa Keen, Latayshia Miller, Shanice Lipford and Jasmine Crews; his grandmother, Ms. Geraldine Poole; an aunt, Terria Poole; two uncles, Dennis Poole (Phyliss) and James Poole (Delores); nieces and nephews, Tre'Quan Lomax, Ta'Vieon Poole, Ta'Miya Poole and Shakee Williamson; a special friend, Tameka "Ma" Crawley; a special cousin, Torran Wimbush aka Dookie; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Shuntray Demond Poole will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Disciples of Christ Church, 178 Darby Road. Pastor Gregory Wimbush, God's House of Remnant Ministries, Eulogist. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park, 3059 North Main Street, Danville, Va.

A public viewing will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 5p-7p at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia.

The family is asked to assemble at the residence, 618 Holbrook Street, Danville, Virginia, at 11:45 a.m. on the day of service.
