Sidney Lang

Sidney Bernard Lang died peacefully September 16th. Born in Davenport, Iowa to Sidney and Evelyn Lang, October 19, 1928. As a college student in Chicago he met the love of his life, Joan. They were married for 72 years. After graduation from Pharmacy School Sid went to work for Eli Lilly & Company. During his career of nearly 40 years he moved from Sales Rep to various Management Positions. In 1993 Sid and Joan moved to Oro Valley, Arizona to enjoy their retirement. Sid played golf and tennis 6 days a week. He loved to go mountain climbing, biking, play volleyball and waterpolo. He also participated in the Senior Olympics. Sid was an active volunteer for his parish church, St. Thomas the Apostle organizing many charity events. He joined the Knights of Columbus and attained the level of 4th Degree. Sid and Joan had 5 children; Barbara Dolan (Bill), Cathy Dietze (Ken), Michael (Beth), Christopher (Marie), Jennifer Duvall (Kevin). GrandDad to Jason, Connor, Zachary, Nicole, Natalie and Matthew. Great Grandfather to 8. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 24th 5-7pm at Rancho Vistoso Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Wednesday, September 25th at 10:30 am St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
