Signora Celeste Johnson, affectionately known as "Nose" to those who knew her best, passed away peacefully at her residence in Horntown, Virginia, on May 24, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on August 22, 1969, in Paterson, New Jersey, she was the beloved daughter of the late Richard and Shirley Davis. Signora's vivacious spirit and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the pleasure of crossing her path.
Signora was a proud graduate of Sussex Central High School in Delaware, where she was known for her sharp wit and boundless enthusiasm. Her academic achievements were a testament to her dedication and hard work, qualities that she carried with her throughout her life. After graduation, Signora ventured into the world with a sense of adventure and a commitment to making the most of every moment.
Throughout her life, Signora was a beacon of positivity, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement. Her generosity of spirit was unmatched, and she was revered by her community for her unwavering support and kindness. Signora's legacy is one of compassion and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Signora's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her husband, Robert Johnson, Jr. of VA; daughter, Shimynee Davis of VA; son, Judah Richard Lerro of DE; grandson, Shimere Davis; sister, Deborah Bailey of DE; brothers, Robert Wise of DE and Maurice Gordon of VA; and the countless friends and extended family members whose lives she touched.
