On March 12, 2024 Silvia Ciliberto (Ferraro) age 68 - a wonderful wife, incredible role model of a mother, a loving nonna, supportive sister and zia, magnificent godmother, and a true friend to many - passed away peacefully.
Silvia was born in Altomonte, (Cosenza) Italy on February 12, 1956 to the late Michele and Elisa (Vitiritti) Ferraro.
Silvia survived by her beloved husband Francesco (Franco) of 48 years and her children Assunta Barone (Antonio), Lisa Carmela Morris (Timothy), Francesca Ciliberto, and Gregorio Ciliberto. She is also survived by her beautiful grandchildren who she addressed as Amore Mio and Tesori: Enrico, Michele, Salvatore, Valentina, Christian, Angelina, Sienna, and Regina; her siblings Francesca, Angela, Rita, Pasquale, and Gina; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Silvia was a generous, light-hearted, and compassionate soul. She loved the simple things in life, especially spending time with her grandchildren and precious family. She was an amazing baker, loved shopping, and enjoyed entertaining her girlfriends. She made beautiful memories with both the Ciliberto and Ferraro families over the years. Silvia was a nanny for over 25 years to many infants and toddlers who she adored. She enjoyed all Italian traditions, especially celebrating Christmas Eve surrounded by her loved ones.
Silvia moved to America from Italy with her parents and siblings to Germantown, Pennsylvania in September 1968, where she went to school, worked, and then fell in love with Franco. They married and raised their family in Ardsley, Pennsylvania.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family and always remembered in their hearts. She touched the lives of all those around her. Her smile lit up every room, and her energetic spirit is unforgettable. She was a shining gem to all those who were blessed to know her.
Family and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 259 Forest Ave, Ambler PA. 19002.
