Silvio Mattessich

Silvio Mattessich, age 82, of Fort Lee, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 25, 2024. Silvio was born in Susak, Croatia to the late Beniamino and Domenica Mattessich. He immigrated to the United States in 1962. Silvio worked for local #52 NY/NJ as a tile setter. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Society of Sansego. He enjoyed gardening, vacations, especially cruises, and visiting his homeland of Croatia.
Beloved husband of 58 years to Antoinette Mattessich. Devoted father of Ben, Joe his wife Maryann, and his daughter Jaime. Cherished Nono to Ava, Tiana, and Colin. Dear brother of Antonia Piccinich and her late husband Tomaso, Beniamo Mattessich and his wife Zora, the late John Mattessich and his wife Maria and his late brothers Bepo and wife Anna, Tony and sister Martiza. Adored brother-in-law of Anna Maria Picinich and her husband John and Josephine Picinic and her late husband Anthony. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive their friends on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the Frank Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Directors 327 Main Street Fort Lee. The funeral will leave on Wednesday at 10 am for the celebration of his funeral mass in the Main Church of the Madonna at 10:30 am. For further information call 201 944-0100.
