SIMEON CHANCELLOR PEYTON

PEYTON, Simeon Chancellor, 92, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Pepper Peyton. Simeon, a native of Fredericksburg, Va., retired from RF&P Railroad after 32 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran in World War II, a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodges #45 and #875, and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Tuckahoe Lodge #1163. He is survived by his son, Stuart Cameron Peyton and his wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Peyton, Megan, Lauren, Caroline and Buddy; and two great- grandchildren, Colby and Caleb. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va., where services will be held on Saturday, July 30, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Westhampton United Methodist Church, 6100 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23226.
